This song, adapted by The Afters from the classic Christmas hymn “Joy to the World,” is not only a reimagining of a beloved seasonal melody, but also the very first Christmas gift we prepared for our child, Jaren. The name Jaren carries the meaning of “joy,” “song,” and “lifting praise”—and just as his quiet arrival entered our lives, he has infused our ordinary days with a heaven-sent rhythm and light.
